Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) Winisk's Elijah Edwards started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Elijah Edwards blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gale Sutherland having to make a save. A collision led to Forward getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jarod LeBatelier hit a great ball. Lyman Frazier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sammy Tessier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bryce McBride read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Forward's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Elijah Edwards scored to the left of an out of position Gale Sutherland, making the score, 1-0. Gale Sutherland didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carl Ellis went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute Sammy Tessier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryce McBride saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremy Snyder's late challenge caught a Winisk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremy Snyder helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Winisk booed when Forward was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremy Snyder didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 minutes of play, Winisk's Carl Ellis made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gale Sutherland was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Sammy Tessier made the kick off in the second half. Lyman Frazier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Bryce McBride tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gale Sutherland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elijah Edwards in the 56th minute of play. Shelby Ohara kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. When Forward's Sammy Tessier in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Winisk's goalie prevented a goal. Bryce McBride stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sammy Tessier's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. If Sammy Tessier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Winisk's Bryce McBride played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sammy Tessier in the 80th minute of play. Lyman Frazier struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Bryce McBride didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Forward. With a little luck, Winisk's Bryce McBride got control of the ball when Lyman Frazier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lyman Frazier was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Forward's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sammy Tessier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
