Bernardo Marrero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Willowdale. Beardmore AFC's Bernardo Marrero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vespasien Busque in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Willowdale's goalkeeper Dante McCabe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julius Whitehead. After a defensive mix-up in Beardmore AFC's zone, Tyler McKay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Marrero came out of the goal and Tyler McKay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Cyrille Audet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Marrero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tyler McKay in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyler McKay in the 29th minute of play forced Beardmore AFC's goalkeeper Bernardo Marrero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Homer Pritchard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante McCabe having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Willowdale's goal looked a bit too open when Freeman Moody came free, but Dante McCabe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Marrero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vespasien Busque's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute, Freddy Lynch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Beardmore AFC defense, Freddy Lynch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Marrero. The Beardmore AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Marrero should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vespasien Busque to make the kick off. If Vespasien Busque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Homer Pritchard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante McCabe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Homer Pritchard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jasper Louis during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Willowdale getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Jasper Louis hit a great ball. Dante McCabe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Homer Pritchard in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute Vespasien Busque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Marrero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Willowdale's Freddy Lynch got a free kick in the 91st minute. The Beardmore AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Willowdale's performance. The match ended with a win for Willowdale.
