Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rolando Boyce got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Sicamous FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Boyce came free, but Shad McGinnis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucius Lanteigne might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valéry Berthiaume. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucius Lanteigne ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Laird AFC's zone, Lucius Lanteigne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valéry Berthiaume came out of the goal and Lucius Lanteigne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute of the match Edmundo Bonsaint shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valéry Berthiaume showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Valéry Berthiaume was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alva Prather showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Shelton Lott had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shad McGinnis. Sicamous FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shelton Lott was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Rolando Boyce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laird AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Boyce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shad McGinnis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34thth minute of the game Lucius Lanteigne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laird AFC's Valéry Berthiaume was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th minute, Aurelio Andrews hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Laird AFC's zone, Lucius Lanteigne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valéry Berthiaume came out of the goal and Lucius Lanteigne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alva Prather fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valéry Berthiaume having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Lucius Lanteigne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Laird AFC's Valéry Berthiaume proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Laird AFC from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When Lucius Lanteigne came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Sicamous FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucius Lanteigne couldn't finish the play. Edmundo Bonsaint took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Valéry Berthiaume. Laird AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Valéry Berthiaume showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucius Lanteigne in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucius Lanteigne in the 67th minute of play forced Laird AFC's goalkeeper Valéry Berthiaume to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gaston Coon fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laird AFC's protests and gave Gaston Coon a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Laird AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Coon. Valéry Berthiaume showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucius Lanteigne, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 74 minutes into the match, Laird AFC's Rolando Boyce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shad McGinnis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valéry Berthiaume stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johnson Lavoie's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, Sicamous FC's Patrick Dunham got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute, Rodney Arellano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sicamous FC's Shad McGinnis didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Laird AFC's zone, Johnson Lavoie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valéry Berthiaume came out of the goal and Johnson Lavoie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrick Dunham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valéry Berthiaume having to make a save.
