Normand Nichols fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carson Burt having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, Nuwata FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mason Bernard to maneuver through the defense. Carson Burt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Spicer in the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the game, Mickey Butler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nuwata FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Magpie the free kick. After 18 minutes, Normand Nichols mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Magpie and the Nuwata FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Magpie getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Normand Nichols hit a great ball. Darren Hanson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Markus Shah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Markus Shah didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 22nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Mickey Butler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. The supporters of Magpie booed when Nuwata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Winston didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mickey Butler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Connie Emerson kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Darren Hanson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nuwata FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darren Hanson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mickey Butler to strike the kick off in the second half. Carson Burt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marvin Ruth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Normand Nicholss short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Carson Burt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mickey Butler in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Markus Shah prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Magpie's Markus Shah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mickey Butler in the 63rd minute of play. If Richard Winston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th match minute, Magpie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruce Buckley to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Mickey Butler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nuwata FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mickey Butler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Markus Shah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Darren Hanson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Markus Shah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mickey Butler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Nuwata FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Normand Nichols fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 83rd minute, Connie Emerson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mickey Butler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Shah having to interfere. Normand Nichols recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
