With a left leg Markus Shah saved Magpie from getting behind. With a little luck, Sicamous FC's Shad McGinnis got control of the ball when Normand Nichols tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sicamous FC's Shad McGinnis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marvin Ruth in the 6th minute of play. Shad McGinnis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Normand Nichols in the 8th minute. In the 9th match minute, Magpie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo Spicer to maneuver through the defense. Marvin Ruth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Shad McGinnis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Sicamous FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Connie Emerson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 17 minutes into the match, Lucius Lanteigne notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Magpie's Markus Shah. Markus Shah was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cruz Alonzo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Markus Shah. Magpie's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alva Prather took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Markus Shah. Markus Shah dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alva Prather in the 35th minute of play forced Magpie's goalkeeper Markus Shah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alva Prather fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Shah having to interfere. Connie Emerson hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Alva Prather struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Markus Shah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sicamous FC. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Alva Prather made the kick off in the second half. Normand Nichols received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Shad McGinnis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sicamous FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Johnson Lavoie hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Normand Nichols in the 54th minute of play forced Sicamous FC's goalkeeper Shad McGinnis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Lucius Lanteigne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sicamous FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucius Lanteigne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Markus Shah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Normand Nichols came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Magpie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Normand Nichols couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 65 in the game by Lucius Lanteigne from a close distance when the talented Markus Shah managed to make a qualified save. Magpie's players were relieved. Shad McGinnis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marvin Ruth, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alva Prather in the 72nd minute of play forced Magpie's goalkeeper Markus Shah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucius Lanteigne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Shah having to interfere. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 79th minute, but Markus Shah got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Magpie hanging dry this time. The crowd rose to their feet as Alva Prather kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Markus Shah. That made the score 0-3 in the 81 minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Magpie's goalkeeper Markus Shah had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johnson Lavoie. Sicamous FC's Lucius Lanteigne got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alva Prather sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucius Lanteigne got free with Markus Shah in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
