The supporters of Carmacks FC booed when Cowell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raoul Montano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cowell's zone, Kelley Trent stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Irwin came out of the goal and Kelley Trent tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute Kelley Trent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Irwin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carmacks FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
