Spectators: 7658 (Terracing: 5745, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Konstantinos Paltoudenios started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Jasper's Bedirhan Türk ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Valéry Berthiaume. Valéry Berthiaume yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Shelton Lott scored 1-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Igor Kaczorowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Laird AFC's Valéry Berthiaume got control of the ball when Konstantinos Paltoudenios tried to sneak it across the goal line. Shelton Lott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Igor Kaczorowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Māris Valtenbergs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 33rd minute, Rolando Boyce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Igor Kaczorowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. A collision led to Jasper getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Giorgos Varvitsiotis hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Jasper's Valéry Berthiaume threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Konstantinos Paltoudenios, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 44th minute of the match Wally Coates shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valéry Berthiaume showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Jasper getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Vojtěch Fialka hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rolando Boyce stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Laird AFC's zone, Māris Valtenbergs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valéry Berthiaume came out of the goal and Māris Valtenbergs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute, Bedirhan Türk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Kaczorowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodney Arellano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valéry Berthiaume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Māris Valtenbergs in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th minute, Māris Valtenbergs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Konstantinos Paltoudenios might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valéry Berthiaume. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Konstantinos Paltoudenios ran back to his position shaking his head. Māris Valtenbergs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valéry Berthiaume having to interfere. In the 76th minute Bedirhan Türk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valéry Berthiaume saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Laird AFC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Sol Sorenson hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, Jasper's goalkeeper Igor Kaczorowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shelton Lott. In the 84th minute, Bedirhan Türk made a precise shot to the right of Valéry Berthiaume. Laird AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Konstantinos Paltoudenios in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valéry Berthiaume prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edwardo Andrade took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Valéry Berthiaume. Laird AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
