After 28 played minutes Tobermory got a freekick which was hit by Waldo Latham. Allen Dostie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kelley Trent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aldo Holmes to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Tobermory getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Tobermory's Pascal Patrick got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Allen Dostie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Len York in the 74th minute of the match. Kelley Trent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Allen Dostie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kelley Trent, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Kelley Trent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allen Dostie having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Aldo Holmes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Harland Reeder, 0-1. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tobermory eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
