Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Damon Peterson started the match with the kick off. Damon Peterson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th minute Brendan Rankin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Mooney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Cardigan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Brendan Rankin came free, but Ricardo Mooney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Damon Peterson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rigoberto Tinsley was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Damon Peterson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damon Peterson in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rigoberto Tinsley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rigoberto Tinsley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pasquale Storey in the 23rd minute of play. Rigoberto Tinsley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damon Peterson in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Cardigan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Brendan Rankin came free, but Ricardo Mooney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Brendan Rankin came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Innisfail fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brendan Rankin couldn't finish the play. Adam Murphy charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adam Murphy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adam Murphy hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Pasquale Storey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cardigan AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pasquale Storey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brendan Rankin to make the kick off. Damon Peterson succeeded in the game's 51st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Jefferey Kelley hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Pasquale Storey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pasquale Storey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Tinsley having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Rigoberto Tinsley successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Brendan Rankin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pasquale Storey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Rigoberto Tinsley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pasquale Storey got free with Rigoberto Tinsley in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pasquale Storey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Rigoberto Tinsley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Damon Peterson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when Pasquale Storey in the 78th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a defensive mix-up in Innisfail's zone, Pasquale Storey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rigoberto Tinsley came out of the goal and Pasquale Storey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
