Rupert Migneault recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eloy Carmona's late challenge caught a Akviligjuaq FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Akviligjuaq FC's Osvaldo Lefebvre tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Steven Palacios got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Steven Palacios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stroud FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Steven Palacios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Émile Dufresne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kip Lanteigne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Émile Dufresne having to interfere. Émile Dufresne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Palacios in the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steven Palacios was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Akviligjuaq FC's Harrison Elmore got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Kip Lanteigne came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Stroud FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kip Lanteigne couldn't finish the play.
