Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Palmer Crook started the match with the kick off. In the 13thth minute of the game Agustin Hope who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Derval's Clément Fair was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Montmorency FC! The referee gave Derval a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lesley Waite, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Montmorency FC's Reed Houston. 2-0. Ed Murphy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Derval were furious when Domingo Eckert was red carded, 26 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Derval:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montmorency FC:s goal. In the 32nd match minute, Montmorency FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Colby Michaud to maneuver through the defense. Clément Fair stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joachim Lowery's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Lindsay Gibbs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ed Murphy came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Derval fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ed Murphy couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joachim Lowery stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lindsay Gibbs during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 51 played minutes Derval got a freekick which was hit by Lindsay Gibbs. After having played for 53 minutes, Joachim Lowery managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montmorency FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joachim Lowery was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Montmorency FC's Angelo Breton got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 60th minute, Marion Jacob hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute of the match Lesley Waite shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reed Houston showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Clément Fair was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Agustin Hope showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 69 minute of play. Derval's Ed Murphy got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Derval booed when Montmorency FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Breton didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ed Murphy came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Derval fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ed Murphy couldn't finish the play. Ed Murphy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reed Houston having to interfere. Angelo Breton charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelo Breton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes Montmorency FC got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Breton. Ed Murphy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ed Murphy struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Reed Houston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Derval. Reed Houston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ed Murphy in the 91st minute of play. Reed Houston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lindsay Gibbs, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The audience was convinced that Ed Murphy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reed Houston was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. If Ed Murphy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
