Merrill Humphries received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Villem Loodus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Randy Little showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Archie Pagan, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When Lazio Roma's Florencio Lawler in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sandwich AFC's goalie prevented a goal. If Archie Pagan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Lazio Roma's Walton Deschênes got a free kick in the 24th minute. Randy Little took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Lawler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lazio Roma's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Garret Stover 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After 32 played minutes Sandwich AFC got a freekick which was hit by Theirn Hawthorne. After a defensive mix-up in Sandwich AFC's zone, Archie Pagan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Randy Little came out of the goal and Archie Pagan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Randy Little showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Archie Pagan in the 35th minute of the match. Walton Deschênes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sandwich AFC's Randy Little played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Lawler in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute, Florencio Lawler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Randy Little was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Florencio Lawler made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Florencio Lawler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lazio Roma's supporters rose to their feet, but Florencio Lawler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Randy Little breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 53 minutes, Walton Deschênes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lazio Roma and the Sandwich AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lazio Roma getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Walton Deschênes hit a great ball. In the 56th minute of the match Camille Gallegos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Villem Loodus showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Randy Little showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Lawler in the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Archie Pagan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Randy Little, 1-2. In the 64th minute, Yves Huff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute Florencio Lawler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randy Little saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Archie Pagan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Archie Pagan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Lawler in the 82nd minute of play forced Sandwich AFC's goalkeeper Randy Little to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Lazio Roma's Archie Pagan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Randy Little made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the last second Randy Little throw himself and got hold of the ball when Florencio Lawler in the 89thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Garret Stover managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sandwich AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Garret Stover was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Villem Loodus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florencio Lawler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lazio Roma walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
