With a little luck, NDG United's Earnest Crews got control of the ball when Bradford Swift tried to sneak it across the goal line. NDG United's Earnest Crews played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Leal in the 17th minute of play. After 18 minutes, Séverin Thorne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NDG United and the Garnish C players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to NDG United getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Séverin Thorne hit a great ball. Celal Dündaroğlu struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Dominique Sampson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NDG United. Earnest Crews showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Coleman Coley in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Bradford Swift ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Earnest Crews was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Bradford Swift received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Earnest Crews tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Celal Dündaroğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Rico Hughes came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the NDG United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rico Hughes couldn't finish the play. Celal Dündaroğlu got in the 40th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Dominique Sampson handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celal Dündaroğlu was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Gilberto Leal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Garnish C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, NDG United's goal looked a bit too open when Romain Barry came free, but Earnest Crews reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Garnish C booed when NDG United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esmé Mélançon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute Bradford Swift shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Earnest Crews saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Celal Dündaroğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Garnish C fans cheered their team off the field, for while NDG United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
