Spectators: 7981 (Terracing: 5987, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lupe Fontaine took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Iona's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Sherman came free, but Clément McMullen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When FC Montreal 2012's Lupe Fontaine in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Iona's goalie prevented a goal. Iona's Jan Arpin got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jan Arpin succeeded in the game's 17th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Justin Lowry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joey Eastman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Arpin in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute Perry Keller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clément McMullen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincent Sherman kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Jan Arpin made a precise shot to the right of Joey Eastman. FC Montreal 2012's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Clément McMullen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Perry Keller went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thad Patenaude during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Iona's Thad Patenaude got a free kick in the 38th minute. Lupe Fontaine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Clément McMullen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perry Keller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute, Vincent Sherman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Hoyt Earl sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Clément McMullen threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Hoyt Earl this time. Iona's Clément McMullen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perry Keller in the 66th minute of play. Lupe Fontaine's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clément McMullen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Justin Lowry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alec Stratton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Joey Eastman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Montreal 2012's zone, Justin Lowry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joey Eastman came out of the goal and Justin Lowry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute, Jan Arpin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Justin Lowry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joey Eastman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justin Lowry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Justin Lowry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iona's supporters rose to their feet, but Justin Lowry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joey Eastman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clément McMullen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Perry Keller in the 96th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Iona's goalkeeper Clément McMullen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Perry Keller. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Iona fully deserved thier win.
