Brooks Coffey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Devin Provencher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vassan's Robbie Hodges shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 15th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Saul Mathis but with some difficulty. Saul Mathis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Devin Provencher in the 20th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Devin Provencher in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saul Mathis saved Beardmore FC from getting behind. Frankie Vickers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Devin Provencher took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Saul Mathis to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Beardmore FC's Saul Mathis got control of the ball when Brooks Coffey tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sylvester Proctor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frankie Vickers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Devin Provencher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saul Mathis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Devin Provencher in the 37th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Vassan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brooks Coffey to maneuver through the defense.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Devin Provencher stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Saul Mathis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Devin Provencher in the 57th minute of play. Devin Provencher might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saul Mathis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Devin Provencher ran back to his position shaking his head. Devin Provencher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Mathis having to interfere. After 80 minutes of play, Vassan's Jc Gilmore made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saul Mathis was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Frankie Vickers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saul Mathis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brooks Coffey, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Devin Provencher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Saul Mathis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Brooks Coffey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vassan's supporters rose to their feet, but Brooks Coffey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saul Mathis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alonzo Cotton's late challenge caught a Vassan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alonzo Cotton helped the player get up and apologised. Saul Mathis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devin Provencher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Devin Provencher blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Saul Mathis having to make a save.
