If Tory Adkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Plunkett's goal looked a bit too open when Frankie Vickers came free, but Onesime Hyatt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grady Charrette took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Onesime Hyatt. Onesime Hyatt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Cornelius Cahill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorsey Dodge hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Cornelius Cahill struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Saul Mathis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plunkett. 32 minutes into the match, Plunkett's goal looked a bit too open when Grady Charrette came free, but Onesime Hyatt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tory Adkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Mathis having to interfere. Cornelius Cahill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Saul Mathis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elvin Clément kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Cornelius Cahill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Mathis having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cornelius Cahill stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, one of Beardmore FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Beardmore FC. Dorsey Dodge hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Saul Mathis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelius Cahill in the 58th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Tory Adkins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute Cornelius Cahill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Mathis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Plunkett was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tory Adkins to maneuver through the defense. Beardmore FC's Grady Charrette got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saul Mathis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cornelius Cahill's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Cornelius Cahill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saul Mathis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tory Adkins in the 81st minute of the match. If Cornelius Cahill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saul Mathis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelius Cahill in the 90th minute of play. Saul Mathis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelius Cahill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Plunkett lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
