After a defensive mix-up in Vassan's zone, Raymundo Nunn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sylvester Proctor came out of the goal and Raymundo Nunn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brooks Coffey succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 44th playminute. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Brooks Coffey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vassan's supporters rose to their feet, but Brooks Coffey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renard Villarreal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raymundo Nunn to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Devin Provencher in the 57th minute of play forced Men in Tights's goalkeeper Renard Villarreal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Devin Provencher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renard Villarreal having to interfere. In the 60th minute Brooks Coffey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renard Villarreal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 minutes, Donnell Mendoza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Men in Tights and the Vassan players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Men in Tights getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Donnell Mendoza hit a great ball. If Brooks Coffey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. In the 66th minute Devin Provencher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renard Villarreal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfredo Storey kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Raymundo Nunn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Renard Villarreal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Devin Provencher in the 86th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Charlesbois in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renard Villarreal saved Men in Tights from getting behind. After 93 played minutes Men in Tights got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Storey. In the 96th minute Vassan were awarded a corner. Winfred Flood went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Vassan's Winfred Flood to fire away a dangerous shot which Renard Villarreal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. There was no doubt that Vassan were the better team. Vassan's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
