Matthew Ewing took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trevor Hess. Trevor Hess dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Vincent Lee's late challenge caught a Laval Kings's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vincent Lee helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, Vincent Lee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Laval Kings's Darin Allred fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Ewing in the 25th minute of play forced Laval Kings's goalkeeper Trevor Hess to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Matthew Ewing's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trevor Hess was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Darin Allred made a kick off. Matthew Ewing struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Trevor Hess didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hacha Brava. If Brock Goddard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lemuel Childs was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. Laval Kings's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matthew Ewing was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Kyle Dickey fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 93rd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Trevor Hess took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brock Goddard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Although Laval Kings had been in control for most of the match, Hacha Brava still came away with the win.
