Bertram Saindon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Foreman went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 14 minutes, Darell Perry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Athletic Club Academical's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darell Perry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dannie Sylvester in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bertram Saindon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dannie Sylvester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Bertram Saindon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nigel Charette kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 21 played minutes, Athletic Club Academical's Dannie Sylvester shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bertram Saindon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Athletic Club Academical reached it. Darell Perry hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 27th match minute, Dobermans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chuck Pichette to maneuver through the defense. Athletic Club Academical's Dannie Sylvester got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Darell Perry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertram Saindon having to interfere. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dobermans's goalkeeper Bertram Saindon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute Rickey Boston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertram Saindon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dannie Sylvester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Bertram Saindon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Dobermans defense, Dannie Sylvester kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bertram Saindon. The Dobermans fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bertram Saindon should have stopped the shot. Cyrille Vega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertram Saindon having to interfere. When Dannie Sylvester came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Athletic Club Academical fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dannie Sylvester couldn't finish the play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dannie Sylvester to strike the kick off in the second half. Bertram Saindon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darell Perry went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Rickey Boston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Athletic Club Academical's Darell Perry got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chuck Pichette in the 61st minute of play forced Athletic Club Academical's goalkeeper Svatomír Kaiser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dobermans's zone, Dannie Sylvester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertram Saindon came out of the goal and Dannie Sylvester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fernando Foreman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darell Perry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertram Saindon having to interfere. A very good chance for a goal. 72 minutes into the match, Chuck Pichette had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Svatomír Kaiser. Athletic Club Academical's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chuck Pichette was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 80thth minute of the game Dannie Sylvester who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dobermans's Bertram Saindon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute, Rickey Boston got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dannie Sylvester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 85 in the game by Rickey Boston from a close distance when the talented Bertram Saindon managed to make a qualified save. Dobermans's players were relieved. Erasmo Colon came free in the 87th minute and tried to tip the ball over Bertram Saindon, but to the joy of Dobermans's supporters the ball went over. Bertram Saindon came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Athletic Club Academical's Rickey Boston. But to his dismay, Rickey Boston quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Dannie Sylvester's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bertram Saindon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
