In the 23rd minute Mary Lapresse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malik Reese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josef Turcotte came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Dortmund FC's Jacinto Malone. But to his dismay, Jacinto Malone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Houston Madden kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Mary Lapresse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paris Saint-Germain's supporters rose to their feet, but Mary Lapresse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malik Reese breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Malik Reese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mary Lapresse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mary Lapresse to make the kick off. Malik Reese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristopher Faulk, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dortmund FC's goalkeeper Malik Reese, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clemente Tovar kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Mary Lapresse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Dortmund FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Clemente Tovar hit a great ball. If Mary Lapresse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto Malone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Josef Turcotte made a huge save. With 82 minutes on the clock, Georges Bentley commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Paris Saint-Germain's Josef Turcotte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Paris Saint-Germain from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Jacinto Malone managed to get in a good position for a shot.
