The supporters of Dayton booed when Athletic Club Academical was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickey Boston didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Titus Dugan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Athletic Club Academical left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Dayton.
