Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Henry Vincent started the match with the kick off. The supporters of SC Madoc booed when Keewatin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reggie Post didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, Tracey Burr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Keewatin's Aurelio Darby broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Connie McCann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Arcouet having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Madoc's zone, Armando Rochon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alonzo Arcouet came out of the goal and Armando Rochon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th match minute, SC Madoc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernard Krause to maneuver through the defense. If Henry Vincent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stanton Hyatt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arthur Vertefeuille. Keewatin's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Russell Beck charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Russell Beck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SC Madoc's Russell Beck got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute, Connie McCann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Pons Powers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute Connie McCann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Arcouet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Keewatin's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Vincent came free, but Arthur Vertefeuille reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Keewatin getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Darby couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, SC Madoc's Bernard Krause got a free kick in the 57th minute. Alonzo Arcouet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Connie McCann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Connie McCann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alonzo Arcouet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Arthur Vertefeuille made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Querry in the 70th minute. After having played for 71 minutes, Armando Rochon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Keewatin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Rochon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Connie McCann in the 93rd minute of play forced SC Madoc's goalkeeper Alonzo Arcouet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Vincent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Arthur Vertefeuille tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
