Spectators: 6500 (Terracing: 4875, Seating: 1495, VIP seats: 130) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Laverne Whittaker took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dayton's Laverne Whittaker got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcus Wilcox's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Malik Reese read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. With 9 minutes on the clock, Alejandro Hamilton commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Dayton getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Alejandro Hamilton hit a great ball. If Marcus Wilcox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Lauren Purcell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Beaulé made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Jacinto Malone sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute, Hiram Lockwood left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dortmund FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Horace Pitts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Malone got free with Daniel Beaulé in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horace Pitts in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Beaulé prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dayton's Daniel Beaulé proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Dayton from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horace Pitts to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Wilcox in the 54th minute of play forced Dortmund FC's goalkeeper Malik Reese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horace Pitts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Beaulé having to interfere. Marcus Wilcox recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dortmund FC's Malik Reese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Wilcox in the 64th minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Dayton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laverne Whittaker to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Hiram Lockwood managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dortmund FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hiram Lockwood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Beaulé breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A sloppy throw-in by Lauren Purcell in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Dayton's Laverne Whittaker. Marcus Wilcox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Malik Reese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Wilcox in the 84th minute of play forced Dortmund FC's goalkeeper Malik Reese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Wilcox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Malik Reese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marcus Wilcox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
