Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johnie Landry in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfonzo Potvin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cordell Arellano kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Newtown's Johnie Landry got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Alucard's goalkeeper Alfonzo Potvin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Josiah Cameron took the ball and in the 49 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonzo Potvin. Alfonzo Potvin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Margarito Deniger made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Alucard's goalkeeper Alfonzo Potvin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johnie Landry. Johnie Landry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonzo Potvin having to interfere. Arnold Snyder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Johnie Landry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Newtown booed when Alucard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. John McLeod didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Alucard's zone, Darwin Crowley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonzo Potvin came out of the goal and Darwin Crowley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfonzo Potvin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johnie Landry in the 88th minute. Alucard's Alfonzo Potvin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Alucard from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute, Johnie Landry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Margarito Deniger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfonzo Potvin having to make a save.
