Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Margarito Deniger kicked off to start the match. Johnie Landry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asa Narcisse having to interfere. Bobbie Garnier's late challenge caught a Newtown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bobbie Garnier helped the player get up and apologised. Bobbie Garnier hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Johnie Landry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newtown's supporters rose to their feet, but Johnie Landry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Asa Narcisse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th match minute, Burr FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lance Harman to maneuver through the defense. When Kieth Oneill fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Burr FC's protests and gave Kieth Oneill a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Newtown booed when Burr FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kieth Oneill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnie Landry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Asa Narcisse made a huge save. Léonard Hackett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benton Brock in the 29th minute of play. Léonard Hackett came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Burr FC's Kieth Oneill. But to his dismay, Kieth Oneill quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Josiah Cameron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asa Narcisse having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Newtown's zone, Benton Brock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Léonard Hackett came out of the goal and Benton Brock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Josiah Cameron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Margarito Deniger might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Asa Narcisse. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Margarito Deniger ran back to his position shaking his head. Margarito Deniger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If Johnie Landry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Newtown booed when Burr FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Grace didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Seals charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danilo Seals the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Burr FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Danilo Seals hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Darwin Crowley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Asa Narcisse skillfully saved the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Newtown's Margarito Deniger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Asa Narcisse made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 68th minute Kieth Oneill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Léonard Hackett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Burr FC's Benton Brock ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Léonard Hackett. Léonard Hackett yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Josiah Cameron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asa Narcisse having to interfere. Asa Narcisse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Margarito Deniger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 85 minutes, Margarito Deniger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newtown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Margarito Deniger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Asa Narcisse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Margarito Deniger in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Danilo Seals hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Newtown fully deserved thier win.
