Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 162) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Reggie Metcalf kicked off to start the match. If Brice Gaulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Reggie Metcalf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cowley's supporters rose to their feet, but Reggie Metcalf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barton Pittman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 11 minutes of play, Cowley's Brice Gaulin made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barton Pittman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Barnabé Rutledge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Léveillé, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Reggie Metcalf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Barton Pittman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Reggie Metcalf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, TorontoRangers's Barton Pittman got control of the ball when Loyd Lutz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Cowley defense, Anton Courtois kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barnabé Rutledge. The Cowley fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barnabé Rutledge should have stopped the shot. Brice Gaulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barton Pittman having to interfere. A hard shot 40 in the game by Brice Gaulin from a close distance when the talented Barton Pittman managed to make a qualified save. TorontoRangers's players were relieved. Barnabé Rutledge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michel McDonough's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Brice Gaulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barton Pittman having to interfere. Cowley's Reggie Metcalf got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
52 minutes into the game, Anton Courtois recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Barnabé Rutledge. Anton Courtois showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Reggie Metcalf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brice Gaulin in the 60th minute of play forced TorontoRangers's goalkeeper Barton Pittman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Winford Shah got free with Barnabé Rutledge in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Orville Nelson hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When Reggie Metcalf came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Cowley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reggie Metcalf couldn't finish the play. In the 71st play minute Winford Shah came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Barnabé Rutledge. 2-3. The supporters of Cowley booed when TorontoRangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reggie Dupree didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Anton Courtois fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TorontoRangers's protests and gave Anton Courtois a yellow card for diving instead. Anton Courtois hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes Cowley got a freekick which was hit by Lester Tharp. Barnabé Rutledge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Winford Shah in the 81st minute. Brice Gaulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barton Pittman having to interfere. After 86 minutes, Adolphe Whatley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TorontoRangers and the Cowley players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the final whistle went the supporters of TorontoRangers were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Cowley side.
