Spectators: 7997 (Terracing: 5999, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Anselme Pollard kicked off to start the match. In the 5th match minute, Gargoyle FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Pinette to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Govan's goalkeeper Zachary Gay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reyes Beaupré during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Gargoyle FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reyes Beaupré to maneuver through the defense. Carey Faure fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachary Gay having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Govan's zone, Rudy Dubois stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zachary Gay came out of the goal and Rudy Dubois tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gargoyle FC's Rudy Dubois got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anselme Pollard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Govan's goal looked a bit too open when Carey Faure came free, but Zachary Gay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grady Langley kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. When Rudy Dubois came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Gargoyle FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rudy Dubois couldn't finish the play. After the first half Gargoyle FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Carey Faure made the kick off in the second half. Govan's Zachary Gay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carey Faure in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Rudy Dubois left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gargoyle FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselme Pollard in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselme Pollard in the 68th minute of play forced Gargoyle FC's goalkeeper Rafael Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nickolas Ernst fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Govan's protests and gave Nickolas Ernst a yellow card for diving instead. When Rudy Dubois came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Gargoyle FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rudy Dubois couldn't finish the play. Elroy Parnell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Rafael Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th match minute, Gargoyle FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reyes Beaupré to maneuver through the defense. Govan's Elroy Parnell got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Govan booed when Gargoyle FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hosea Ulrich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grady Langley was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The Gargoyle FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
