The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 5th minute, when Denver Hot Dogs's Darrin Brewer after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Ambroise Smiley in Dawson's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. After 8 played minutes Denver Hot Dogs got a freekick which was hit by Conrad Glass. In the 13th minute, Denver Hot Dogs's Darrin Brewer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ambroise Smiley. Ambroise Smiley yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Denver Hot Dogs getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Dariusz Raschke hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Cordell Friend made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Everett Delarosa sent off a good shot on target. Brady Donahue kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Dawson's Everett Delarosa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cordell Friend. Cordell Friend yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 61st match minute, Denver Hot Dogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dariusz Raschke to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Eugenio Conley kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cordell Friend. That made the score 1-2 in the 68 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugenio Conley during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cordell Friend was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Everett Delarosa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Everett Delarosa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. 80 minutes into the game, Manual Fox was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Denver Hot Dogs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dawson the free kick. The supporters of Dawson booed when Denver Hot Dogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manual Fox didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cordell Friend made an important save on a dangerous shot by Everett Delarosa in the 85th minute. Cordell Friend showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgil AyotHayot in the 89th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Everett Delarosa got free with Cordell Friend in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Everett Delarosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cordell Friend having to interfere. The Denver Hot Dogs supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dawson's performance. The match ended with a win for Dawson.
