Spectators: 7889 (Terracing: 5910, Seating: 1820, VIP seats: 159) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mitchell Marrero made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the game, Carl Guilmette threw the ball into play from the sideline. Toronto AFC's Howard Numbers quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Toronto AFC's Houston Grimes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 于川诚 in the 6th minute of play. After 6 minutes, Al Cotton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toronto AFC and the Real Montréal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Toronto AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Al Cotton to maneuver through the defense. When Real Montréal FC's 于川诚 in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Toronto AFC's goalie prevented a goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 于川诚 couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Toronto AFC's Jerald Crisp got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, 于川诚 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Houston Grimes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 于川诚's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Dylan Lyons managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Montréal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dylan Lyons was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Real Montréal FC's attentive Thaddeus Ruff managed to snatch the ball when Kyle Roe made a throw-in in the 39th minute of the game. If 于川诚 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Truman Hankins kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Dylan Lyons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mitchell Marrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Houston Grimes having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 55th minute, 于川诚 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Houston Grimes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 58 minutes into the match, 于川诚 dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Houston Grimes, 0-2. In the 64th minute, Emon Potts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruben Parize showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Brian, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 于川诚 succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 69th playminute. Toronto AFC's Houston Grimes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 于川诚 in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of Real Montréal FC booed when Toronto AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyle Roe didn't get a good kick on the ball. 于川诚 might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Houston Grimes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 于川诚 ran back to his position shaking his head. 82 minutes into the match, Real Montréal FC's 于川诚 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Houston Grimes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thaddeus Ruff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Houston Grimes having to interfere. Houston Grimes was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and 于川诚 capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. 于川诚 really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Mitchell Marrero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Houston Grimes. That made the score 0-5 in the 92 minute of play. Toronto AFC's Houston Grimes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Toronto AFC from getting a goal against them. Houston Grimes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dylan Lyons. Real Montréal FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
