Spectators: 7998 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alain Goddard started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Anderson Mosley made a precise shot to the right of Darnell Mosher. KS.Gornik Zabrze's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Nathan Eckert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Émile Stanford in the 8th minute of play. If Garfield Ruiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Shawinigan getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Barthélémy Vazquez hit a great ball. After 21 minutes of play, Shawinigan's Anderson Mosley made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Darnell Mosher was left in no man's land by his defense there! Darnell Mosher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alain Goddard, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alain Goddard in the 27th minute of play forced KS.Gornik Zabrze's goalkeeper Darnell Mosher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anderson Mosley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darnell Mosher having to interfere. In the 30th minute Alain Goddard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darnell Mosher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nathan Eckert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Émile Stanford, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Nathan Eckert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roderick Chauvet in the 34th minute of play. KS.Gornik Zabrze's Darnell Mosher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alain Goddard in the 37th minute of play. Alain Goddard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Darnell Mosher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Émile Stanford made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Shawinigan's zone, Garfield Ruiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nathan Eckert came out of the goal and Garfield Ruiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Garfield Ruiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. KS.Gornik Zabrze's supporters rose to their feet, but Garfield Ruiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nathan Eckert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64thth minute of the game Émile Stanford who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shawinigan's Nathan Eckert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nathan Eckert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Garfield Ruiz went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 72nd minute, KS.Gornik Zabrze's Émile Stanford dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Nathan Eckert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Garfield Ruiz went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Roderick Chauvet hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The corner ended in Cleveland Golden almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but KS.Gornik Zabrze's Darnell Mosher did a great save. The Shawinigan supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KS.Gornik Zabrze's performance. The match ended with a win for KS.Gornik Zabrze.
