Spectators: 7954 (Terracing: 5973, Seating: 1831, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Efren Varela got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Vampires's Tommie Costello got a free kick in the 4th minute. If Gérard Duvall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, Vampires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davis Herring to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Aguirre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efren Varela in the 23rd minute of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vampires's goalkeeper Raoul Roberts, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 34th match minute, Pictou AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrich Braswell to maneuver through the defense. When Gérard Duvall came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Vampires fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gérard Duvall couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Vampires's Ronny Lagueux got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramiro Aguirre came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Vampires's Gérard Duvall. But to his dismay, Gérard Duvall quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rogelio Herman struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Raoul Roberts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pictou AFC. Nigel Lord received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Raoul Roberts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raoul Roberts stood somewhat misplaced when Rogelio Herman came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 71 minute. Nigel Lord received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Raoul Roberts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nigel Lord sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gérard Duvall scored 2-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ramiro Aguirre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd match minute, Vampires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stacy McClelland to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
