If Glenn Hinton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mary Godwin took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Houston Grimes. Houston Grimes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Hinton in the 10th minute of play forced Toronto AFC's goalkeeper Houston Grimes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Real Barbados's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Brian came free, but Woodrow Lampron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Raphael Brian took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Woodrow Lampron to make any attempt to save it. If Glenn Hinton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raphael Brian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 33rd minute Mary Godwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Houston Grimes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Houston Grimes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mary Godwin in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raphael Brian to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Real Barbados got a freekick which was hit by Bert Blanchard. A collision led to Real Barbados getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Michel Amos hit a great ball. In the 55th minute of the match Jerald Crisp shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Woodrow Lampron showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Glenn Hinton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Houston Grimes having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Glenn Hinton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Houston Grimes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Woodrow Lampron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Scottie Chamberlain, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 69th minute, Scottie Chamberlain left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Toronto AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 75th minute, Raphael Brian made a precise shot to the right of Woodrow Lampron. Real Barbados's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Scottie Chamberlain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Houston Grimes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Glenn Hinton went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Real Barbados's Woodrow Lampron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Brian in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Scottie Chamberlain in the 89th minute of play forced Real Barbados's goalkeeper Woodrow Lampron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bert Blanchard came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Real Barbados fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bert Blanchard couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Brian in the 96th minute of play forced Real Barbados's goalkeeper Woodrow Lampron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
