Spectators: 7985 (Terracing: 5990, Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 159) After 8 played minutes Toronto AFC got a freekick which was hit by Howard Numbers. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Toronto AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stanford Ransom was slow to take the kick. During this time KS.Gornik Zabrze's players had a chance to rest. KS.Gornik Zabrze's Stanford Ransom was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Houston Grimes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 15th minute, KS.Gornik Zabrze's Garfield Ruiz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Houston Grimes. Houston Grimes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Garfield Ruiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Houston Grimes made a huge save. Émile Stanford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 21 minutes, Scottie Chamberlain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toronto AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Scottie Chamberlain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raphael Brian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Darnell Mosher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to KS.Gornik Zabrze getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Myles Benavides hit a great ball. Toronto AFC's Jerald Crisp couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 39th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for KS.Gornik Zabrze. In the 42nd minute Dewayne Sherman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darnell Mosher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, KS.Gornik Zabrze's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Brian came free, but Darnell Mosher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Houston Grimes made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Émile Stanford sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

54 minutes into the match, Toronto AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Garfield Ruiz came free, but Houston Grimes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Toronto AFC fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Toronto AFC's Scottie Chamberlain looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Houston Grimes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Émile Stanford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Émile Stanford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Émile Stanford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Houston Grimes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raphael Brian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darnell Mosher having to interfere. If Scottie Chamberlain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd match minute, KS.Gornik Zabrze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnathan Gregg to maneuver through the defense. Garfield Ruiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Toronto AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
