Anselme Houser recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anselme Houser blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Octavio Kelley having to make a save. After having played for 6 minutes, Raoul Labrie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid Vienna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raoul Labrie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anselme Houser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Rapid Vienna's goal looked a bit too open when Esmé Deblois came free, but Abe Canales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 played minutes Rapid Vienna got a freekick which was hit by Tory Burt. If Esmé Deblois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Tory Burt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cecil Michaud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Galloway in the 42nd minute of play forced Rapid Vienna's goalkeeper Abe Canales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zabadak's Bastien Waldron pulled a muscle in his back after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 43 minutes, Tory Burt mouthed his way into the referee's book. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cecil Michaud to make the kick off. Anselme Houser hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Rapid Vienna's Tory Burt got a free kick in the 54th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Peter Galloway managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zabadak's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Galloway was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abe Canales breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Abe Canales managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Zabadak's Cecil Michaud fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Abe Canales made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Cecil Michaud sent off a good shot on target. In the 66thth minute of the game Raoul Labrie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zabadak's Octavio Kelley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zabadak's Octavio Kelley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselme Houser in the 68th minute of play. Anselme Houser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Raoul Labrie came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Rapid Vienna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raoul Labrie couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Rapid Vienna's Abe Canales got control of the ball when Cecil Michaud tried to sneak it across the goal line.
