In the 13th minute, Trois-Rivières FC's Scotty Stewart seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Scotty Stewart the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Trois-Rivières FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Scotty Stewart had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Mickey Picard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frankie Laberge having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Trois-Rivières FC got a freekick which was hit by Mickey Picard. If Toby Hobson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Toby Hobson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jason Hay was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Canadian CO's Frankie Laberge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Canadian CO from getting a goal against them. Jason Hay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonso Arroyo in the 44th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Canadian CO's Wes Beebe tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alonso Arroyo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mickey Picard struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Frankie Laberge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trois-Rivières FC. Kurt Serrano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Frankie Laberge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alonso Arroyo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jason Hay having to make a save. Frankie Laberge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilbert Hannah in the 61st minute of the match. Alonso Arroyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Hay having to interfere. Mickey Picard kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. If Alonso Arroyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jason Hay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonso Arroyo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kurt Serrano during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alonso Arroyo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Canadian CO's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jason Hay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toby Hobson in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilbert Hannah in the 89th minute of play forced Canadian CO's goalkeeper Frankie Laberge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Canadian CO's Frankie Laberge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilbert Hannah in the 91st minute of play.
