With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eli Lauzier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the game, Cory Waters was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jere Pruitt was the one to do the kick off. Célestin Babcock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herman Whaley, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. A collision led to FARGO getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Maximilien Duff hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jere Pruitt in the 85th minute of play forced FARGO's goalkeeper Célestin Babcock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Special Forces's zone, Jeffrey Odell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eli Lauzier came out of the goal and Jeffrey Odell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FARGO were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Special Forces's much stronger midfield.
