Abe Canales made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Mario Sinclair sent off a good shot on target. In the 10th minute, Anselme Houser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Rapid Vienna getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jeff Read hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Léon Greenberg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Rapid Vienna's Abe Canales didn't even have to move. In the 15th minute, Homer Primeau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Homer Primeau recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Abe Canales. Homer Primeau showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Mario Sinclair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Mario Sinclair got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Rapid Vienna's Raoul Labrie in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sicamous's goalie prevented a goal. Tory Burt hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Rapid Vienna's Abe Canales got control of the ball when Mario Sinclair tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rapid Vienna's Tory Burt got a free kick in the 38th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Raoul Labrie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Doug Kerr. Sicamous's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raoul Labrie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Homer Primeau was the one to do the kick off. Homer Primeau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rapid Vienna's Abe Canales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Homer Primeau in the 62nd minute of play. Sicamous's Doug Kerr proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Sicamous from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute, Homer Primeau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mario Sinclair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abe Canales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Sinclair, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Tory Burt kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Sinclair in the 79th minute of play forced Rapid Vienna's goalkeeper Abe Canales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute of the match Dalton Walters sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abe Canales skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Raoul Labrie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid Vienna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raoul Labrie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeff Read received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Doug Kerr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselme Houser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doug Kerr having to interfere. Abe Canales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Sinclair in the 97th minute of play. Rapid Vienna's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
