Rapid Vienna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Billie Busch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Billie Busch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Abe Canales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abe Canales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeffrey Odell, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rapid Vienna's zone, Billie Busch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abe Canales came out of the goal and Billie Busch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abe Canales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billie Busch, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rapid Vienna's zone, Billie Busch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abe Canales came out of the goal and Billie Busch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 31 minutes of play, Rapid Vienna's Raoul Labrie made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Célestin Babcock was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abe Canales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billie Busch in the 35th minute of the match. Rapid Vienna's Abe Canales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeffrey Odell in the 36th minute of play. Lanny Lambert struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Abe Canales didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FARGO. In the 42ndth minute of the game Jeffrey Odell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rapid Vienna's Abe Canales was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 57thth minute of the game Raoul Labrie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FARGO's Célestin Babcock was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Abe Canales successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 63rd minute, Billie Busch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FARGO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Billie Busch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abe Canales was a little too slow when Alec Munson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 1-4. Abe Canales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billie Busch in the 72nd minute of the match. Rapid Vienna's Abe Canales proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Rapid Vienna from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute, FARGO's Cory Waters dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Billie Busch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abe Canales having to interfere. Rapid Vienna's Abe Canales proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Rapid Vienna from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute, FARGO's Billie Busch ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Abe Canales. Abe Canales yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. Billie Busch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abe Canales read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. The Rapid Vienna fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FARGO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
