Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alexandre Lampron kicked off to start the match. Ricky Mackey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Renard Stovall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toussaint Buchanan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Doug Kerr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alexandre Lampron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Lampron in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doug Kerr prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the match, Sicamous's Homer Primeau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renard Stovall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Homer Primeau came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Sicamous fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Homer Primeau couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Mississauga Mavericks getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Stéphane Teague hit a great ball. Homer Primeau struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Renard Stovall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sicamous. In the 35thth minute of the game Alexandre Lampron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sicamous's Doug Kerr was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ricky Mackey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Ricky Mackey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renard Stovall. Mississauga Mavericks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricky Mackey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Renard Stovall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto Robillard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricky Mackey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Toussaint Buchanan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doug Kerr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Lampron, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricky Mackey in the 58th minute of play forced Mississauga Mavericks's goalkeeper Renard Stovall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Lampron in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doug Kerr saved Sicamous from getting behind. Homer Primeau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renard Stovall having to interfere. Renard Stovall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Homer Primeau in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute Alexandre Lampron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doug Kerr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Homer Primeau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Mississauga Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when Ricky Mackey came free, but Renard Stovall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mississauga Mavericks's zone, Homer Primeau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renard Stovall came out of the goal and Homer Primeau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Ricky Mackey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Renard Stovall was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sicamous's goalkeeper Doug Kerr, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
