Esmé Deblois sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 6 minutes of play, Zabadak's Cecil Michaud made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sol Gordon was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an all-out effort, Zabadak's Sol Gordon threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Esmé Deblois, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esmé Deblois in the 13th minute of play forced Toronto FC's goalkeeper Sol Gordon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cecil Michaud struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Sol Gordon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zabadak. In the 21st minute Florencio Moss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Kelley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute of the match, Cecil Michaud got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sol Gordon was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sol Gordon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esmé Deblois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florencio Moss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Octavio Kelley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zabadak's goalkeeper Octavio Kelley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Florencio Moss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elroy Moser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Kelley having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Peter Galloway received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Sol Gordon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Toronto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cecil Michaud came free, but Sol Gordon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cecil Michaud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Sol Gordon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavio Kelley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Zabadak's goal looked a bit too open when Elroy Moser came free, but Octavio Kelley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th match minute, Zabadak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Galloway to maneuver through the defense. Sol Gordon came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Zabadak's Esmé Deblois. But to his dismay, Esmé Deblois quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After having played for 89 minutes, Cecil Michaud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zabadak's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cecil Michaud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute of the match Waylon Mitchell sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sol Gordon skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Zabadak had won after a very even match.
