In the 24th match minute, Venice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clair Laprise to maneuver through the defense. Eli Lauzier didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 30th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. If Eugène Becker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, one of Venice:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venice. When the match was over Special Forces could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Venice throughout the match.
