Seating: 1858, VIP seats: 160) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Trey Logan kicked off to start the match. Mickey Picard hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Jere Pruitt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jere Pruitt struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Jason Hay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Special Forces. Jere Pruitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Hay having to interfere. Jerrell Negron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Jason Hay made a huge save. A collision led to Special Forces getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jerrell Negron hit a great ball. Jere Pruitt struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Jason Hay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Special Forces. If Jere Pruitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Mickey Picard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 34 minutes, Jere Pruitt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Special Forces's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jere Pruitt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kurt Serrano charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kurt Serrano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th match minute, Trois-Rivières FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Serrano to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Jere Pruitt made a precise shot to the right of Jason Hay. Trois-Rivières FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The supporters of Special Forces booed when Trois-Rivières FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben Durham didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duane Bliss took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jason Hay. Trois-Rivières FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jere Pruitt might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jason Hay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jere Pruitt ran back to his position shaking his head. Jason Hay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerrell Negron, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jere Pruitt to make the kick off. Special Forces's Eli Lauzier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trey Logan in the 96th minute of play. After 98 minutes Special Forces's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Larry Greenberg who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Larry Greenberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Special Forces's Eli Lauzier did a great save. Special Forces's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
