After some careless play in the Venice defense, Esmé Deblois kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rainier Drouin. The Venice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rainier Drouin should have stopped the shot. Hunter Carrasco's late challenge caught a Venice's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hunter Carrasco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, Zabadak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hunter Carrasco to maneuver through the defense. Cecil Michaud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rainier Drouin having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Winfred Cole managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venice's supporters rose to their feet, but Winfred Cole was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Kelley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Venice's Ed Stephens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Octavio Kelley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th match minute, Zabadak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgil Epps to maneuver through the defense. Winfred Cole recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ed Stephens to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Zabadak getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Daron Cornett hit a great ball. A hard and well directed shot from Roch Cordero led 55 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Zabadak's Octavio Kelley became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-1. After 58 played minutes Zabadak got a freekick which was hit by Peter Galloway. Luis Connors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Kelley having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Winfred Cole in the 62nd minute of play forced Zabadak's goalkeeper Octavio Kelley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Winfred Cole's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavio Kelley was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After 78 minutes, Santiago Gingras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venice and the Zabadak players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zabadak's Octavio Kelley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ed Stephens in the 95th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
