Spectators: 8027 (Terracing: 6022,
Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 159) Toronto FC's Elroy Moser started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Toronto FC got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Baum. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herman Whaley during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Special Forces was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Whaley to maneuver through the defense. Eli Lauzier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Moss in the 6th minute of play. Eli Lauzier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elroy Moser in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Florencio Moss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eli Lauzier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elroy Moser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Eli Lauzier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Special Forces's goal looked a bit too open when Fidel Baum came free, but Eli Lauzier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jere Pruitt didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 25th minute. Special Forces's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 28th minute, Jere Pruitt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sol Gordon. The goal made the score 2-0. Fidel Baum's late challenge caught a Special Forces's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fidel Baum helped the player get up and apologised. When Special Forces's Jere Pruitt in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Toronto FC's goalie prevented a goal. Sol Gordon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herman Whaley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Achille Cope fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sol Gordon having to interfere. After 38 played minutes Toronto FC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Ayers. In the 42nd minute, Jere Pruitt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sol Gordon. The goal made the score 3-0. Toronto FC's Sol Gordon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Toronto FC from getting a goal against them. Sol Gordon came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Special Forces's Jerrell Negron. But to his dismay, Jerrell Negron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Elroy Moser in the 57th minute of play forced Special Forces's goalkeeper Eli Lauzier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bart Shipp during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jere Pruitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sol Gordon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugène Becker, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute Jere Pruitt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sol Gordon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Toronto FC booed when Special Forces was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugues Dupont didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sol Gordon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herman Whaley in the 69th minute of play. Toronto FC's Sol Gordon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugène Becker in the 71st minute of play. Special Forces's Eli Lauzier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elroy Moser in the 72nd minute of play. After 79 minutes, Josh Yarbrough mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toronto FC and the Special Forces players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Toronto FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Josh Yarbrough hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Jere Pruitt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sol Gordon was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Sol Gordon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugène Becker went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. The corner led Special Forces's Duane Bliss to fire away a dangerous shot which Sol Gordon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Toronto FC's Sol Gordon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerrell Negron in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Special Forces's Duane Bliss seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Duane Bliss the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Special Forces protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Duane Bliss had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Bart Shipp took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eli Lauzier. Special Forces's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Special Forces walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
