Spectators: 7315 (Terracing: 5300, Seating: 1855, VIP seats: 160) Iceland FC's Nicky Wilhelm started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brooks Stjohn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sterling Caudill in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute Frankie Engle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brooks Stjohn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bryant Drummond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Granville Valenzuela in the 16th minute of play. Nicky Wilhelm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryant Drummond having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Iceland FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frankie Engle came free, but Brooks Stjohn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Baden AFC's zone, Milton Barrow stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bryant Drummond came out of the goal and Milton Barrow tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicky Wilhelm in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bryant Drummond saved Baden AFC from getting behind. In the 26th minute Frankie Engle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brooks Stjohn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baden AFC's Bryant Drummond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Duncan in the 27th minute of play. Brooks Stjohn came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Baden AFC's Xavier Hand. But to his dismay, Xavier Hand quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Granville Valenzuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Iceland FC's Thomas Duncan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bryant Drummond. Bryant Drummond yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Nicky Wilhelm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timothy Wolf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bryant Drummond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicky Wilhelm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicky Wilhelm struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Bryant Drummond didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iceland FC. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of Baden AFC booed when Iceland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Pacheco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brooks Stjohn was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joël Pendleton. Milton Barrow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomas Duncan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Bryant Drummond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Nicky Wilhelm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iceland FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicky Wilhelm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryant Drummond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Baden AFC's zone, Granville Valenzuela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 81st match minute, Baden AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omer Alfaro to maneuver through the defense. Granville Valenzuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryant Drummond having to interfere. Bryant Drummond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicky Wilhelm in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Thomas Duncan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute Frankie Engle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brooks Stjohn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iceland FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
