Spectators: 6835 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Frankie Engle got the match started through his kick off. Baden AFC's Bryant Drummond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Cardwell in the 3rd minute of play. Shayne Steiner was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Frankie Engle capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Frankie Engle really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 14th minute Bob Cardwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryant Drummond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baden AFC's Bryant Drummond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Cardwell in the 17th minute of play. Ronald Owens kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in West Toronto FC's zone, Frankie Engle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shayne Steiner came out of the goal and Frankie Engle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Shayne Steiner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frankie Engle in the 22nd minute of play. Bryant Drummond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shawn Messer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baden AFC's goalkeeper Bryant Drummond, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bob Cardwell scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bryant Drummond, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Shawn Messer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bob Cardwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frankie Engle scored 2-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shayne Steiner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bob Cardwell to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Irwin Dye hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frankie Engle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Shayne Steiner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leonard Huntley fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored West Toronto FC's protests and gave Leonard Huntley a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Leonard Huntley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, West Toronto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frankie Engle came free, but Shayne Steiner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frankie Engle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shayne Steiner having to interfere. Shayne Steiner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frankie Engle's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. After 70 played minutes, Baden AFC's Chadwick Staton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Shayne Steiner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Baden AFC reached it. Bryant Drummond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Cardwell in the 74th minute of play. Shawn Messer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryant Drummond having to interfere. A collision led to West Toronto FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Irwin Dye hit a great ball. West Toronto FC's Shawn Messer got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bryant Drummond stood somewhat misplaced when Bob Cardwell came free in front of goal and shot 3-2 to the left of him in the 93 minute. Many of West Toronto FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. West Toronto FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Baden AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
