Pete Tate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frankie Engle in the 15th minute of play. Pete Tate was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Frankie Engle capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Frankie Engle really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Sterling Caudill ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pete Tate was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Baden AFC's Bryant Drummond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Rowley in the 26th minute of play. Frankie Engle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hilario Kearney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryant Drummond having to interfere. Pete Tate made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Sterling Caudill sent off a good shot on target. Sterling Caudill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 44 minutes, Glenn Roach managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Val da's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glenn Roach was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 45 played minutes Baden AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gerry Walls. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Glenn Roach made a kick off. Paul Rowley charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paul Rowley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Baden AFC booed when FC Val da was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Rowley didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th match minute, Baden AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emory Hurd to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th match minute, Baden AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Hand to maneuver through the defense. FC Val da's Lou Gauthier couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Baden AFC. In the 61st minute, Glen Buchanan had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Didier Sterling's late challenge caught a FC Val da's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Didier Sterling helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Baden AFC's Didier Sterling got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the match, Baden AFC's goalkeeper Bryant Drummond had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hilario Kearney. FC Val da's Cesaire Lang got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Hilario Kearney kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bryant Drummond. That made the score 2-1 in the 72 minute of play. Frankie Engle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Tate having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Xavier Hand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baden AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Val da the free kick. Xavier Hand hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Pete Tate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frankie Engle, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 95th match minute, FC Val da was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesaire Lang to maneuver through the defense. 98 minutes into the match, FC Val da's goal looked a bit too open when Sterling Caudill came free, but Pete Tate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Baden AFC had won after a very even match.
