Spectators: 7600 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Andy Sexton started the match with the kick off. Jean Oleary sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 6th minute, Andy Sexton made a precise shot to the right of Ambrose Hodge. Bellin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. With an all-out effort, Newport Park's Ambrose Hodge threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jean Oleary, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ambrose Hodge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andy Sexton in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kennith Sneed in the 15th minute of play forced Newport Park's goalkeeper Tom Biggs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Newport Park! The referee gave Bellin a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Chuck Vang, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Newport Park's Tom Biggs. 1-1. If Jean Oleary had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ambrose Hodge was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Jean Oleary capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jean Oleary really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Tom Biggs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Williams in the 30th minute of play. Newport Park's Andy Sexton got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 37 minutes, Andy Sexton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newport Park's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andy Sexton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bellin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Jean Oleary scored to the left of an out of position Ambrose Hodge, making the score, 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Jean Oleary received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ambrose Hodge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 52 played minutes Bellin got a freekick which was hit by Arnaud Kearney. Ambrose Hodge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Sexton in the 55th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Andy Sexton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ambrose Hodge was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Andy Sexton struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Ambrose Hodge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newport Park. After some careless play in the Bellin defense, Andy Sexton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ambrose Hodge. The Bellin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ambrose Hodge should have stopped the shot. Arnaud Kearney kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. When Dane Hicks fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bellin's protests and gave Dane Hicks a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Newport Park booed when Bellin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dane Hicks didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Andy Sexton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Ambrose Hodge was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Sexton in the 80th minute of play forced Bellin's goalkeeper Ambrose Hodge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bellin's zone, Andy Sexton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrose Hodge came out of the goal and Andy Sexton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Andy Sexton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andy Sexton might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ambrose Hodge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andy Sexton ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Bellin's Virgilio Hedrick got a free kick in the 95th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Sexton in the 96th minute of play forced Bellin's goalkeeper Ambrose Hodge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Newport Park were the better team. Newport Park's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
