Jewell Dickerson might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Grégoire Duranseau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jewell Dickerson ran back to his position shaking his head. After 6 minutes, Jorge Pomerleau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eastmain and the Morson FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jorge Pomerleau hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Jerry Henry got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Javier Crews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grégoire Duranseau having to interfere. Grégoire Duranseau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jewell Dickerson's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Jewell Dickerson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Grégoire Duranseau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Eastmain's zone, Javier Crews stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grégoire Duranseau came out of the goal and Javier Crews tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the match, Javier Crews notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Eastmain's Grégoire Duranseau. Grégoire Duranseau was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Javier Crews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grégoire Duranseau having to interfere. Glenn Sierra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilton Lambert in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Buck Lyon in the 31st minute of play forced Eastmain's goalkeeper Grégoire Duranseau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Buck Lyon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Grégoire Duranseau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Jan Barber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morson FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Barber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th match minute, Eastmain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noe Dill to maneuver through the defense. Morson FC were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Eastmain's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chang Renteria took the corner. Javier Crews recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Buck Lyon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Grégoire Duranseau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Eastmain defense, Javier Crews kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grégoire Duranseau. The Eastmain fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grégoire Duranseau should have stopped the shot. Andy Park struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Grégoire Duranseau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morson FC. 68 minutes into the game, Javier Crews cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Grégoire Duranseau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorge Pomerleau hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Eastmain's zone, Javier Crews stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grégoire Duranseau came out of the goal and Javier Crews tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Buck Lyon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jewell Dickerson kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Buck Lyon struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Grégoire Duranseau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morson FC. Morson FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
