Alfonso Bossé was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jewell Dickerson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 38 minute of play. Regina Fighters were furious when Winston Bowden was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chang Renteria in the 44th minute of play forced Regina Fighters's goalkeeper Alfonso Bossé to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fredric Gibbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 played minutes Regina Fighters got a freekick which was hit by Ben Luke. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aaron Stacy to make the kick off. The goalkeeper, Glenn Sierra, was totally fooled by Regina Fighters's Spencer Étoile, who 79 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jewell Dickerson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfonso Bossé having to make a save. Although Morson FC had been in control for most of the match, Regina Fighters still came away with the win.
